There are many styles of markers available, from slant markers, to flat markers set flush with the ground. Typically this type of memorial has a lower profile than an upright, however, it can be set on a granite base.

Vertical tablet used to identify single grave. Can also be used to mark multiple individuals on a single grave. Some refer to this style as a headstone, gravestone or tombstone.
